About Xavier Baecke
Scholae Artis Equestris was founded by Xavier Baecke, Master of horses.
Being educated in Natural Horsemanship, Buckarroo Horsemanship and Historical Dressage,
Xavier has received a broad basis in horsemanship.
However, his academic education adds greatly to his expertise both as a biologist,
specialised in animal behaviour, as well as a historian,
specialized in the history of knighthood and horsemanship.
In the SAEquestris, all these expertises come together.
He tested and fused sevaral traditions of horseamship against our scientific
understanding of the reality of the horse, resulting in the different schools of SAEquestris.
This method was develloped in the span of twenty years, using personal horses,
teaching private clients and assistants, and working
with troubled horses on The Old Horses Lodge (Belgium's largest horse refuge).
Now Xavier wants to share this robustly tested method with the rest of the world
to improve the lives of both horses and their humans by helping them on their roads from horse to unity.
