Xavier is an amazing riding instructor. His videos have a very clear structure, with different levels to work through, which gives me a real sense of calm and clarity.
For some reason, he is also the first instructor who understands how important it is to demonstrate every movement in such precise detail that I now know exactly what I’m doing.
I've had a few teachers before him but they would always just do things and not really explain what and how, so it was all very confusing to me.
For example, my horse used to constantly fall inwards while lunging and then I would end up extremely frustrated, but with Xavier’s techniques and the troubleshooting video's in the online academy, it was all instantly clear to me where the issue lied (it was with me and not with my horse, no big surprise there :p ).
Neither of us now gets frustrated because we have very clear communication and I've learned to give release at the exact right time. I also love that I can just watch the video's over and over again and really soak up the movements so I can replicate them.
I'm very much looking forward to the upcoming new grades!!
